Two charged after meat and alcohol thefts

A MAN and a woman have been charged following meat and alcohol thefts across Hastings and Rother.

Between Sunday, June 10 and Monday, June 18 several thefts of alcohol and meat products occured.

On June 18, John Larkin and Victoria Langley were arrested.

Larkin, 25, of Holmesdale Gardens, appeared at Hastings Magistrates Court on Wednesday, (June 20) and pleaded guilty to theft from shops in Rye and Hastings with seven other thefts across Hastings, Battle and Bexhill being taken into consideration.

He has been bailed to reappear on June 27 while further enquiries take place.

Langley, 32, of Western Road, St Leonards, also appeared after being charged with six thefts across Hastings and Rother districts.

She pleaded not guity and was remanded in custody.

She is due to appear at Crown Court at a date yet to be notified.
