Twelve burglary cases reported in Eastbourne over five days

Burglars smashed through a window and stole multiple items from a property in Eastbourne last week, according to police.

Sussex Police said the burglary happened on February 22 in Rosebery Avenue at 12am.

Police reported a combined total of 12 burglaries and attempted burglaries between February 20 and February 25 in the Eastbourne area.

A business in College Road was broken into and had two donation boxes stolen, according to police, on February 21 at 8.43pm.

Bikes were stolen from two sheds in Enys Road, police said, on February 20 between 12am and 6.45am.

Police said burglars caused damage to a business in Hyde Road on February 23 between 12pm and 1.30pm.

Cash was stolen from a property in Grand Parade between 9.55pm and 10pm, police said.

According to officers, a bike was stolen from a shed in Milton Road on February 21 and reports say the burglary could have happened anytime between 11.55pm and into the next morning at 7am.

Officers said a bike was stolen from a summer house in Victoria Drive between February 22 at 11pm and February 23 at 10pm.

A property in Brand Road was broken into between February 21 at 5pm and February at 5pm, according to police, but it is not known if items were stolen.

Police reported an attempted burglary in Mountfield Road which happened on February 22 between 12pm and 5pm, where burglars threw an item at a window to break-in.

Burglars were unsuccessful when trying to break into commercial premises in King Edwards Parade on February 23 between 8pm and 9.30pm, according to police.

A panel was removed from a door of a property in Naomi Close at some time between February 22 at 8pm and February 25 at 5am. Police said entry was gained but no items were stolen.

Police reported an unsuccessful burglary where a commercial property was targeted in King Edwards Parade on February 25 between 2.30pm and 2.40pm.
