Three arrests and man in hospital following fight

A FIGHT broke out between a group of men on Monday evening.

Around 15 people were in Brightling Avenue when police arrived at around 5.40pm to break up the melee.

One man suffered a punctured lung and had to be taken to the Conquest Hospital.

A front door and window of a house was also damaged in the scuffle.

Windows and the front door of one property were damaged during the fight.

A 23-year-old man from Hastings was arrested on suspicion of affray and possessing an offensive weapon, namely a baseball bat.

A 44-year-old Hastings man was also arrested on suspicion of affray, as was a 25-year-old man.

All three have been bailed until May 28 pending further inquiries.
