Teenagers mugged at knifepoint in St Leonards

A teenage boy was robbed at knifepoint in St Leonards when walking home with his teenage girlfriend.

The 19-year-old from St Leonards had £80 taken on Robertson Street at around 10.30pm on Sunday, September 13.

The victim was walking home from work with his 19-year-old girlfriend when they were approached by a black man demanding money.

He produced a knife before searching the male victim and then made off with the cash.

The suspect is described as around 25-years-old, 5’7”, of strong build and was wearing mainly black clothing with white trainers.

He also wore a white and gold Gucci cap which was covered by a hoody.

Detective Constable Nick O’Shaughnessy said: “We believe lots of people and cars were around at the time.

“I would ask anyone who saw something suspicious to either email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or call 101 quoting reference 1467 of 13/09.”

Witnesses can also call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
