Teenaged suspect in GBH case is bailed

A TEENAGER from St Leonards has been released on police bail after being arrested in connection with a violent attack on a 21-year-old man.

The 18-year-old was arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm following the attack in the early hours of Sunday morning. He must answer his bail on November 19.

The attack happened in the Glyne Gap area of Bexhill leaving the victim with serious back and head injuries.

He was taken by ambulance to the Conquest Hospital where he is in a critical condition.

Police are not linking it to an attack on 15-year-old Mohammed Bourne who was beaten unconscious on Bexhill seafront on Friday night after attending a beach party.

He is now on a life support machine at Hurstwood Park Neurological Centre at Haywards Heath after suffering a serious head injury.

A 20-year-old man, arrested on Monday afternoon, was released on bail until December 19.
