Teen’s abuse to police after nightclub ejection

A TEENAGER became abusive towards police after being ejected from a nightclub for being drunk.

Tristan De Waele, 18, who does not have a permanent address, was asked to leave Fluid in the early hours of October 16.

A court heard that door staff called police to arrest De Waele because he refused to leave the area.

Mark Kateley, prosecuting, said: “The defendant continued to be abusive towards police calling them ‘wasters’.”

De Waele admitted being drunk and disorderly when he appeared before magistrates.

Representing himself, he said: “I was drunk and in the wrong. All I can recall was that I was not abusive until police put the handcuffs on.”

Magistrates gave De Waele a six-month conditional discharge and ordered £85 costs.
