Staff ‘very shaken’ by robbery of Roffey’s One Stop shop

Staff were forced to hand over cash in a robbery of Roffey’s One Stop shop early this morning (Tuesday March 3).

Three men entered the shop in Lambs Farm Road demanding money at 6.15am and forced the women into a room and made them hand over the money.

The two female staff were left ‘very shaken’ and the suspects are described by Sussex Police as one black man and two Asian men.

The premises was cordoned off by police this morning as they dealt with the incident.

A spokesperson for Sussex Police said: “The robbery happened at 6.15am at the One Stop on Lambs Farm Road when three men came into the shop and demanded money. The women were forced into a room and made to hand over cash. No weapons were seen and the two women workers weren’t hurt but they were very shaken.

“The men are described as one black man and two Asian men. If anyone saw anything suspicious is asked to contact police on [email protected] quoting serial 128 of 03/03 or the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
