St Leonards man arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency

A man has been arrested on suspicion of outraging public decency after two separate reports of a man performing a sex act in a vehicle in St Leonards.

Police said they were called around 4pm on Monday, January 4 to reports of a man in a blue car parked on Hoads Wood Road, St Leonards.

Police received a further report of a man performing a sex act in a vehicle around 1pm on February 17 in Southwater Road, St Leonards.

Police said they believe two young females witnessed the incident in Southwater Road and shouted at the man before leaving the area.

Officers are appealing for the pair to come forward to assist with the investigation.

Police said a 30-year-old man from St Leonards has been arrested on suspicion of committing an act of outraging public decency.

He was interviewed and has been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
