Police search Bexhill school after report of ‘suspicious item’
Police investigating a report of a suspicious item at a school in Bexhill are now treating the incident as a hoax, police have confirmed.

Officers were alerted to a third party report made to St Richard’s Catholic College in Ashdown Road on Tuesday morning (October 20).
A specialist search dog was deployed, but nothing was found.
Police said disruption to the school’s day was kept to a minimum while the search was carried out.
On Thursday, a spokesman for Sussex Police said the incident is being treated as a hoax call.
