Police who executed a drugs warrant at a property in High Bank Close, Hastings, on Tuesday (May 12) seized almost 100 cannabis plants.
A police spokesman said, had the plants reached maturity, the estimated street value of the cannabis produced would have been more than £60,000.
The plants and growing equipment have been destroyed.
Inspector Dan Russell, of the Hastings neighbourhood policing team, said: “Once again we have taken steps to disrupt the drugs trade in this town.
“No one was arrested at the time but enquiries are continuing to trace the person or people responsible.”
Anyone with information which may help is asked to email firstname.lastname@example.org or phone 101, quoting serial 365 of 12/5.
Alternatively they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers without having to leave their name on 0800 555111.
Inspector Russell said the same contact details can be used by anyone who suspects illicit drugs are being grown or traded in their area.
