DC John Hord, of Crawley CID, said: “This was a violent incident which occurred at closing time in a quiet residential street. A live band was playing in the local pub and it’s believed to have been busy in there that night. I am keen to talk to anyone who left the pub around closing time who may have seen or heard anything happen on the road outside. I would urge anyone with information to phone Sussex Police on 101 quoting reference 64 of 12 February.”
