Police appeal for witnesses after attack in St Leonards

A MAN was treated in hospital after being attacked by two men in Marina, St Leonards.

Police have this week launched an appeal for witnesses and information regarding the incident, which took place around 5.25pm on Thursday, March 29.

Officers were called to the scene after the victim, a 35-year-old local man, called police to say he had been attacked.

The man received serious cuts to his arm which required hospital treatment.

Further enquiries revealed that the two offenders had got into a taxi, and this had subsequently been attacked by the original victim, causing damage to a window.

All three were arrested and released on police bail pending further enquiries, until May 21.

They are a 35-year-old man from Hastings arrested on suspicion of criminal damage; a 26-year-old Hastings man arrested for Grievious Bodily Harm and possessing a bladed article; and a 19-year-old local man arrested for Grievious Bodily Harm and common assault.
