Police appeal after Hastings assault

Police are appealing for witnesses to an assault on a Hastings man who was attacked on Tuesday (September 15).

The 26-year-old was walking towards the town centre down Cambridge Road when the assault took place at 3.55am.

He suffered facial cuts, bruising and swelling which required hospital treatment.

Two men, one aged 22 and one 23, both from Hastings, have both been arrested on suspicion of assault.

Both have been questioned and released on bail until Friday, October 23, while enquiries continue.

Anyone who saw what happened or who may have other information is asked to email 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or phone 101, quoting serial 221 of 12/09.

Alternatively they can call the independent charity Crimestoppers without having to leave their name on 0800 555 111.
