A MAN charged with the murder of a vicar and a retired teacher was spotted in the Hastings and Rother area last weekend.
Stephen Farrow, 47, was arrested in Folkestone on Sunday and charged with the killing of Reverend John Suddards.
The 59-year-old clergyman was found stabbed to death at his vicarage in Thornbury, Gloucestershire, on February 14.
Farrow has also been charged with killing Betty Yates, 77, whose body was found with fatal knife wounds at her Bewdley home in Worcestershire on January 4. No details were released about the sightings in Hastings or whether Farrow has any connections with the town.
High visibility patrols were despatched in the area.
In addition Farrow was charged with burglary relating to a property in Thornbury between December 21 and January 3.
He was due to appear at North Avon Magistrates Court in Bristol yesterday (Feb 23).
