TWO men attacked another man in an unprovoked assault.

The 20-year-old victim had gone out for some fresh air just before midnight on November 24 when he was struck on the head.

He walked along Mann Street before turning into Earl Street where the attack happened.

The man felt a blow to his head, turned and saw two men both wearing black hooded tops and scarves covering their faces.

One of them then punched his face, and he fell to the ground, where he was kicked a number of times.

The victim had swelling to his lip and cheek as a result of the attack.

PC Cally Fox said: “Unprovoked assaults in the street of this nature are very rare in Hastings. I would like to speak to anyone who witnessed this incident, or anyone who was in Mann Street or Earl Street at about this time on the night.”
