Man assaulted in Bexhill town centre

Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Bexhill town centre.

Officers were called to reports of an unprovoked attack on the corner of Parkhurst Road and Devonshire Road around 2.30pm on Saturday, August 22.

On Tuesday (September 1), police issued an appeal for witnesses.

The victim was punched to the back of the head but fortunately, did not suffer any serious injury, police said.

The two suspects are described as around 16 years of age, and both were wearing black tops with the hoods up.

A police spokesman added: “Anyone who saw what happened, or who has any other information, is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 884 of 22/08.

“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
