Man assaulted by teenager in attack outside McDonald’s

SUSSEX Police are appealing for witnesses following a fight outside McDonald’s in Wellington Place, Hastings, at 10pm on Friday night (1 June) in which a 28-year-old man received a head injury.

Police say there was a dispute between the victim and another man, resulting in the victim being punched to the face. He fell to the ground and received a small laceration and lump.

The suspect is described as being 5ft 9in tall, aged between 14 to 15-years-old, of medium build, with cropped light brown hair and wearing a grey top.

PC Tess Warren, from Hastings, said: “This occurred on a busy Friday night in the town centre and we believe that someone will know who is responsible for this assault.

“We have CCTV footage surrounding the incident and are asking the man in question, along with anyone witnessing the incident, to come forward and speak to police on 101, quoting serial 1934 of 1 June.”
