Man arrested after police pursuit ends in Battle

A spokesman for Kent Police said a BMW 3 Series was being driven erratically on the A21, near Tonbridge, at around 4.30am.

The vehicle failed to stop when requested to do so by a police officer and Kent Police said a pursuit was authorised.

The pursuit lasted for approximately half an hour, when at around 5am, the car came to a halt in Upper Lake, Battle.

A spokesman for Kent Police said: "The driver, aged 35 and from the Tonbridge area was arrested for failing to stop for police when directed to do so. He was later released without charge."
