December 15:

Tony Yagiz, 49, of Stonehouse Drive, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to ten offences relating to the breach of a Community Protection Notice by drinking alcohol in public. The offences took place at Harold Place and other areas of Hastings town centre between June 8 and December 15. He was fined a total of £200 and ordered to pay £232 in costs. Magistrates made a Criminal Behaviour Order forbidding him from carrying or consuming alcohol in a designated area of Hastings.

Jeffrey Machin, 43, of no fixed address, was found guilty of four offences relating to the breach of a Community Protection Notice by drinking alcohol in public outside Renaissance House, in London Road, St Leonards, between March 13 and May 20. The verdicts were proved in his absence. He was fined a total of £200 and ordered to pay £104 in costs.

Tara Perry, 33, of Priory Road, Hastings, was found guilty of failing to comply with a Community Protection Notice by drinking alcohol in public. The offence took place in Hastings town centre on June 4. She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £156 in costs. The verdict was proved in her absence.

Dean Quinnell, 42, of Pevensey Road, St Leonards, was found guilty of 42 offences relating to the breach of a Community Protection Notice by drinking alcohol in public. The offences took place in Hastings town centre and the seafront between May 6 and October 6. The verdicts were proved in his absence. He was fined a total of £840 and ordered to pay £232 in costs. Magistrates made a Criminal Behaviour Order forbidding him from carrying or consuming alcohol in a designated area of Hastings.

Gary Usher, 48, of no fixed address, was found guilty of five offences relating to the breach of a Community Protection Notice by drinking alcohol in public. The offences took place outside Renaissance House, in London Road, St Leonards, between July 7 and July 16. He was fined £600 and ordered to pay £104 in costs.

December 16:

James Bradley, 24, of New Moorsite, Westfield, pleaded guilty to driving a VW van on Beaconsfield Road, Hastings, on April 15, while disqualified from driving. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no insurance and to driving with cocaine and the controlled drug Benzoylecgonine in his blood stream, on the same date. The court made a community order with a requirement of 80 hours of unpaid work and banned him from driving for three years.

John Gower, 50, of Wellington Gardens, Battle, pleaded guilty to driving a Mini vehicle on London Road, Bexhill, on September 19, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 73 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He was fined£120 and banned from driving for three years.

Mike Gould, 24, of Hollington Old Lane, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford vehicle on Gilbert Road, St Leonards, on May 3, with cocaine and the controlled drug Benzoylecgonine in his blood stream. He was fined £600 and banned from driving for one year.

Fergus Robson, 20, of Union Street, Flimwell, pleaded guilty to driving a Renault vehicle on the A21 at Hurst Green, on April 5, with cannabis in his blood stream. He was banned from driving for one year.

Matthew barker, 48, of Eversfield Place, St Leonards, indicated a guilty plea to making 13 Category A indecent images of children. He also indicated guilty pleas to making 37 Category B and 1,007 Category C indecent images of children. The offences took place at Etchingham between January 4 and March 23. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on January 20 and released on bail with conditions that include not having any contact with children under the age of 18 and not to use any device which is capable of accessing the internet.

Alan Fleming, 47, of Grosvenor Crescent, St Leonards, indicated guilty pleas to three charges of committing a public nuisance, indecently exposing himself by standing naked in a window and peforming a sexual act. The offences took place on August 20 and September 3 and 5. He was sentenced to 12 weeks in prison, suspended for 18 months. The court made a community order with a requirement of 200 hours of unpaid work.
