June 23:

Kevin Bedford, 18, of Craig Close, Crowhurst, pleaded guilty to driving a Honda vehicle on Ore Valley Road, Hastings, on November 16, with cannabis in his blood stream. He was fined £400 and banned from driving for one year.

Paul Cyrnik, 75, of Oakhill Drive, Broad Oak, Brede, indicated a plea of guilty to making 15 Category B indecent images of children. He also indicated plea of guilty to making 33 Category C indecent images of children. The offences took place at Rye between November 20 2014 and February 18 2019. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on July 21 and released on conditional bail.

Robin Howard, 33, of Boscobel Road North, St Leonards, indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of an offensive weapon - a folding credit card knife, in a public place at the A21, Robertsbridge, on July 2 last year. He also indicated a plea of guilty to being in possession of 32 grams of herbal cannabis at Robertsbridge on the same date. He was sentenced to four months in prison, suspended for one year. The court made a community order and ordered him to pay £128 in prosecution costs.

Erdem Cam, 20, of Napier Road, Enfield, pleaded guilty to driving a Ford vehicle on Bohemia Road, Hastings, on November 16, last year, with cannabis in his blood stream. He was fined £120 and banned from driving for one year.

Ross Greenhill, 29, of Sycamore Close, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to driving a vehicle at White Rock, Hastings, on May 14, while over the drink drive limit. He gave a breath alcohol reading of 48 microgrammes. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes. He was fined £415 and banned from driving for 14 months.

June 24:

Findlay Ward- Smith, 22, of Cornfield Terrace, St Leonards, pleaded guilty to intentionally obstructing a police officer in the exercise of his powers under section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act 1971. The offence took place at Bexhill on August 26, last year. He was given a six month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £300 in prosecution costs.

Paul Williams, 40, of Southdown Avenue, Hastings, was found guilty of assaulting a woman and causing her actual bodily harm. The offence took place at Blackburn on May 28, last year. He was sentenced to 14 weeks in prison.

June 29:

Michelle Meager, 48, of no fixed address, was found guilty of 23 charges of being in breach of a Community Protection Notice. The offences related to consuming, or being in possession of open containers alcohol or failing to surrender alcohol in a restricted area. They took place between June 23 and October 6, in Hastings town centre last year, mainly outside of Jempsons bakery, Milletts and Harold Place. She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £100 in prosecution costs, The verdicts were proved in her absence.

Martin Johnson, 34, of no fixed abode, was found guilty of four charges of being in breach of a Community Protection Notice. The offences related to consuming, or being in possession of open containers of alcohol or failing to surrender alcohol in a restricted area. They took place between July 29 and November 5 last year at Wellington Place and Harold Place, in Hastings town centre. He was fined £120 and ordered to pay £100 in prosecution costs, The verdicts were proved in his absence.

Lyndsey Tanneta (no age provided), of Southdown Avenue, Hastings, was found guilty of two charges of being in breach of a Community Protection Notice by being in possession of open containers of alcohol in a restricted area.

The offences took place at the Carlisle Parade underpass, Hastings, on October 13 and at Harold Place, Hastings, on December 15 last year. She was fined £120 and ordered to pay £100 in prosecution costs, The verdicts were proved in her absence.

Catherine Chapman, 43, of Ashburnham, Battle, was found guilty of failing to remove materials and vehicles from the land not used in connection with the agricultural or forestry use of Oak Bank Farm within one month of a notice being served on November 28 2018. She was also found guilty of failing to remove from the land all materials not used in connection with the dwelling benefitting from a lawful development certificate within one month of a notice being served on November 28 2018. She was fined £2,306 and ordered to pay £11,974.96 in prosecution costs.

Ruben Van Der Meer, 45, of Ashburnham, Battle, was found guilty of failing to remove materials and vehicles from the land not used in connection with the agricultural or forestry use of Oak Bank Farm within one month of a notice being served on November 28 2018. Lorraine Pollard, 60, of Norfolk Drive, St Leonards, was found guilty of two charges of being in breach of a Community Protection Notice by drinking alcohol in a restricted area in Hastings town centre. The offences took place outside Jempsons bakery, in Wellington Place, on July 24 and September 3, last year. She was fined £440 and ordered to pay £184 in prosecution costs. The verdicts were proved in her absence.
