January 6:

Mathilde Jaeger, 32, of Esplanade, Seaford, pleaded guilty to driving a Toyota vehicle on Sutton Park Road, Seaford, on October 2, last year, while more than twice over the drink drive limit. She gave a breath alcohol reading of 88 micrograms. The legal limit is 35 micrograms. She was fined £400 and banned from driving for 22 months.

Hugh Oliver, 61, of Brampton Road, Eastbourne, indicated guilty pleas to making 253 indecent images of children. The offences took place at Eastbourne between April 27 and May 18 2019. He was committed to Lewes Crown Court for sentencing on February 3 and released on conditional bail.

Michael Taylor, 20, of Royal Sussex Crescent, Eastbourne, indicated guilty pleas to two charges of assaulting a police officer and assaulting a police community support officer. The offences took place at Eastbourne on September 26. He pleaded guilty to being drunk and disorderly in a public place at Terminus Road on the same date. He was fined £400 and ordered to pay £100 in compensation.

Millicent King, 22, of Grove Road, Eastbourne, pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of breath for analysis when required to do so by police under the Road Traffic Act 1988. The offence took place at Eastbourne on October 29. Sentencing was adjourned until February 1, for reports to be prepared. She was released on unconditional bail.

January 7:

Nicholas Baughurst, 59, of Barnhorn Road, Bexhill, pleaded guilty to using a Mercedes skip lorry on the Marsh Road, at Pevensey, on February 17, last year, when the skip was not strapped down and involved a danger of injury. He was fined £268 and banned from driving for 28 days.

Andre Taylor, 50, of Sovereign Close, Eastbourne, was found guilty of assault by beating. The offence took place at Eastbourne on September 29 last year. Magistrates issued a warrant for arrest without bail, due to his non-appearance in court.

Stefan Bradley, 24, of HMP Lewes, pleaded guilty to driving a Mercedes vehicle on Eastbourne Road, Westham, on November 24, 2019, without due care or attention. He also pleaded guilty to driving with no licence and insurance and to obstructing a police officer, at Pevensey on the same date. He pleaded guilty to failing to provide a specimen of blood for analysis when required to do so by police under the Road Traffic Act of 1988. He was fined £180 and banned from driving for 22 months.

Isaac Francis, 25, of Percival Road, Eastbourne, was found guilty of failing to comply with coronavirus restrictions. The offence took place at Eastbourne on April 26 last year. He was fined £200 and ordered to pay £85 in prosecution costs.
