POLICE are trying to trace this man after he twice failed to turn up at court.
Matthew Labbett, 28, formerly of Priory Road, was due to stand trial at Lewes Crown Court for robbery but didn’t show up. He was then due at Hastings Magistrates Court later last month in relation to a number of driving offences, but again he did not appear.
Now there are two warrants for his arrest and police hope eagle-eyed Observer readers may help them trace him.
PC Duncan Cleverley of Hastings Police said: “If you see Matthew Labbett then please do not approach him, but call us on 0845 607099 and let us know where he is.
“I would urge Mr Labbett - if he sees himself in the press - to hand himself in at Hastings Police Station.
