Hastings Police reporting an increase in residential burglaries

Hastings Police announced the increased reports on Thursday (July 16) and offered advice to residents.

“We would like to remind you to ensure that you are keeping your home secure, particularly when you are out and at night,” Hastings Police said.

“We have also had incidents where burglars are using garden tools found in gardens to force entry into people’s homes.

“We would therefore ask that you keep these locked away in outbuildings and out of sight.”
