Fine over dispute in McDonalds

A JOBLESS man who threatened physical violence in a dispute at the town centre McDonalds has been fined £100.

Scott Starr, 31, of Queens Road, pleaded guilty to using threatening words and behaviour leading to a fear of unlawful violence, when he appeared before magistrates last Friday (August 19).

Mark Kateley prosecuting, described how on June 5 a row had broken out between the two men over a camera in front of other customers including children.

Aidan Harvey, defending, told magistrates Starr - who is currently unemployed, although with experience in the building trade - had not thrown any punches.
