Car set alight in Bexhill arson attack

Police investigating a report of arson and criminal damage to a car in Bexhill are appealing for witnesses.

Shortly after 9am on Monday (April 19), the window of a blue Ford Fiesta parked on King Offa Way was smashed, according to police.

Officers believe the suspect was travelling in a vehicle that pulled up alongside the targeted car before the damage was caused.

Around 3.55pm that day, police received a report of the same car being set alight. The fire is being treated as deliberate, according to police. Two males were seen running from the scene eastbound along King Offa Way, towards Bexhill Old Town.

Officers investigating the matter are keen to speak to anyone who saw what happened in either incident, or who may have witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the vicinity. They would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured any relevant dash cam footage from the area.
