Boy, 13, assaulted in Hastings play area

The 13-year-old victim was in the West Hill play area at around 4.50pm on Sunday, March 28, when he became involved in a brief discussion with a group of children.

As he went to leave, he was assaulted and suffered minor injuries to his face and head, police said.

On Thursday (April 8), officers investigating the matter said they were keen to speak to anyone who was in the park at the time and who saw what happened.
