Appeal for witnesses after man robbed in Hastings town centre

A MAN was attacked and threatened with a knife before being robbed in the town centre.

The incident took place in Prospect Place, on Sunday, March 18, between 7.30pm and 9.30pm when a 32-year-old man was approached by three men who walked from St Michael’s Place.

One of the suspects demanded the victim empty his pockets and he was punched by the three men.

Another suspect then pulled out a knife and took money from the victim.

The three suspects are all described as white men in their early 20s.

The man with the knife was wearing a blue hooded top, was about 5’5’’, of stocky build with a blonde goatee beard.

The other two assailants wore grey hooded tops. One was described as roughly 5’5’’ in height, the other 5’8’’ and of thin build.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who saw men matching the descriptions to contact Sussex Police on 101 quoting serial 1484 of 18/03/12.
