County fire and rescue '˜improvements' - what do you think?

THREE retained fire stations are to close in West Sussex, despite intensive campaigning to save them.

Bosham, Keymer and Findon have become victims of a £1.2m slash to services and second fire engines will be lost at East Preston, Lancing and Horley fire stations.

The news has been greeted with dismay and strong criticism of the spin on West Sussex County Council’s statement, billing the decision as ‘major improvements’.

However, it is has been described as the ‘best use of resources’.

What do you think? Is this a sensible option or is it a band move. Add your comments below.
