Councillor ask for residents’ views

MEMBERS of the public are invited to meet with councillors in a series of drop-in sessions over the next month.

Council leader Jeremy Birch said: “Last year we held what we called The Big Conversation, talking to local residents about what services were important, and what they felt we could spend less on.

“This was really useful when the Government’s budget cuts were made, allowing us to focus our spending on areas that were most important to local people.

“One year on, we want to do something similar. We want to find out if local residents were happy with the decisions we made, and talk to them about the future, when we will be faced with more difficult budget decisions.”

Sessions are to be held on: Friday, September 9, from 5pm to 7pm at Tesco, Hollington; Saturday, September 10, 10am to noon in Kings Road, St Leonards; Thursday, September 15, 12.30pm to 2.30pm at Priory Meadow, and Saturday, October 1, 10am to noon at Ore Valley Co-op.
