SIXTEEN seats are up for election at Hastings Borough Council on May 3.

Hastings Borough Council elections are held every two years for half of the council.

The last local election for Hastings was held at the same time as the General Election in May 2010, when Hastings passed from no overall control to a Labour majority. There are currently 32 councillors serving on Hastings Borough Council – 17 Labour, 14 Conservative and one Liberal Democrat.
