The market, the first of two planned events in Battle, was hosted by KH Infinity Events and Siobhan Keppler, event organiser says it was a great success. “The bustling Christmas themed market was a hit with shoppers and exhibitors alike,” she said.

“The event hosted over 30 exhibitors (all local crafters and small businesses) and boasted an outstanding footfall of over 1000 visitors.

“Even the children were entertained with Pikachu in attendance for meet and greets.”

A donation bucket encouraged visitors to dig deep for St Michael’s Hospice and Siobhan said one very special exhibitor, Tracey, donated all the money “a phenomenal £250” from her stall to Counselling Plus; a charity which offers confidential counselling to people over 16 years old, in the local area, at times of stress, change, pain or loss.

Tracey’s son was just 25 years old when he took his own life after suffering from depression. Tracey says had the family known about Counselling Plus, maybe they could have saved their son. “I am trying to raise awareness about Counselling Plus in hope of saving another life,” she said. Tracey’s stunning range of handmade neck and head pillows went down a storm at the Christmas Market and she donates all profits to the charity.

Tracey, along with other local crafters and businesses will have stalls at the next Christmas Market, Battle Memorial Hall on December 3, 10-3pm. Visit: www.counsellingplus.org
