Chloe-Rose is our top tot

TEN-month-old Chloe-Rose Loynes, of Hughenden Road, Hastings, is our Observer Baby of the Year 2004.

Her mum, Sarah-Louise Loynes, said: "I am still in shock. She has always been my baby of the year but this is definitely something to tell her when she gets older."

More than 5,000 votes, including 2,200 text votes, were cast in this year's competition. A record 640 beautiful babies entered this year's competition.

Chloe-Rose, who was just eight months when the winning snap was taken in August, won first place in the up to nine months category. Chloe-Rose was chosen from the three first-place winners. Runner up was Olivia Blunden, two, of King Edward Close, St Leonards who won the 19-36 category.

The 10-18 months category was won by Maesi Ramsay, 14 months, of Merrimede Close, St Leonards who finished third overall.
