Children are Kings and Queens for a day

CHILDREN at Icklesham Primary School held a Kings and Queens Day as part of their project learning about the Royal Family.

Pupils and staff arrived at school dressed in a variety of outfits. Parents watched as the children paraded around the playground and then everyone sang the National Anthem.

The morning was spent on a variety of activities including painting royal portraits, Lunch was a Jubilee buffet with the afternoon activities including a Royal Concert for the Queen where each class performed two items including dances, magic tricks, comedy routines and singing.

A spokesperson for the school said: “The afternoon concluded with parents joining the children for a Jubilee Picnic with lots of fun and games. Everyone had a wonderful day – and the sun was shining.”
