Chichester Police raises £1,155.94 for St Wilfrid’s Hospice

MORE THAN £1,000 has been gifted to St Wilfrid’s Hospice from funds raised by Chichester Police’s open day last week.

The police station threw opens its doors to the public, in Kingsham Road, on July 11, with a number of events taking place.

Today (July 21), the district commander Justin Burtenshaw headed to St Wilfrid’s Hospice to present them a cheque for £1,155.94. There were a number of fundraising events on the day, including a raffle with several donated prizes.

Chief inspector Burtenshaw said: “We are delighted to have raised as much as we did and we couldn’t have done it without the support of the local community, businesses and agencies that were there on the day.

“We are proud to support the important work that St Wilfrid’s does and the services they provide.”
