Charity’s fair raises £2,000 plus

A CHARITY raised more than £2,000 at its Christmas fair.

The Sara Lee Trust held the event at St John’s Church in Pevensey Road, St Leonards and saw many visitors.

Marie Gonet, the trust’s fundraising manager, said: “Despite the weather, it was a super day and we raised at total of £2,244. We would very much like to thank all those who supported us by having a stall, donating prizes or coming along to shop. We would also like to thank all at St John’s for their help and support.”

All the funds raised will be used to fund the work of the charity, which provides complementary therapies, creative arts therapies, sanctuary days and counseling to patients in Hastings, Rother and Rye who are living with Cancer, Motor Neurone Disease or HIV/Aids.
