A St Leonards-based charity is hosting a walk from Eastbourne Pier to Hastings Pier to raise money and is asking for people to join in.
All the money raised through sponsorship will be used to take learners out to experience new things in and around their community to improve their confidence and self-esteem.
Finding Futures, a BHT Sussex service, offers a personal, self-development and motivational programme, for all ages, where people can improve their life skills alongside the opportunity to gain qualifications in English, maths, ICT, and employability skills.
Sarah Blessington, tutor/trainer from BHT Finding Futures, said: “Many of our learners never get a chance to get out and about to experience different places and learn new things.
“We want to help them to develop their confidence, personal effectiveness and employability while at the same time having fun doing things they probably have never done before.”
The charity walk will take place on Saturday, April 25 at 10am at Eastbourne Pier.
