Chance to hear talk on America Ground

Ken Brooks is giving an illustrated talk of the America Ground area of Hastings town centre.

It takes place at the Shipwreck Museum, Rock-a-Nore, on Sunday June 7 at 2.30pm.

In the 19th century the area had become a ‘no-man’s land’ occupied by more than 1,000 squatters living in make-shift homes, sometimes made from abandoned boats.

Admission to the talk is £3 adults and £2 children.

Pre-booking is essential as spaces for the talk are limited. To book call 01424 426459.
