“This is a superb programme that not only engages children in exercise but also teaches them those all important life skills like team work, communication and leadership skills, all wrapped up in a fun and safe environment. All coaches are DBS checked, qualified and experienced. Boom Active are Ofsted registered.

She added: “During the school term we work within primary schools delivering fun and inclusive PE and extra curricular clubs.

“During the school holidays we run a school holiday programme, which is designed to give parents the option for their children to do something fun, healthy and safe rather than sitting on their computers all day.

It isn’t about offering childcare, it is about providing the children with a fun experience that they can look forward to in the school holidays.

“Our ultimate goal is to provide fun and inclusive ways to get any child active. We do this through active games, obstacle courses and other challenges.

“We pride our programme on its innovative ways of getting children exercising and building their confidence to then go on and take part in main stream sports.

On Monday 26 is a fun Army Bootcamp, then on Tuesday 27 its ‘Extraordinary Games’. There is a Treasure Hunt on 28, World Cup versus Olympics on Thursday 29 and a Halloween Special on Friday 30 with a Superheroes and Villains theme.

“We hope to encourage local children to be more active and experience the long term health benefits of exercise.”
