Centre is on the hunt for new volunteers

A community centre is on the look-out for new volunteers.

West Hill & District Association is holding its annual general meeting on Thursday, March 19 from 7pm at West Hill Community Centre, Croft Road, and launching its appeal.

Mary Phillips, association secretary, said: “It is crucial that we are able to elect officers to the West Hill & District Community Association who manage the running of the centre at this meeting. The current officers, who have worked so hard to keep the centre open and running smoothly, are standing down and we need new volunteers from the membership to replace them.

“There has been a successful membership drive and East Sussex County Council appears to support the managing association, but there is an imminent need for volunteers to step forward to help run the centre.

“There is a website: www.westhillcc.com where you can see what is going on in the centre and find out more. We also have Twitter and Facebook pages.

“Membership is free and can be done online at the above website, text your details to 07817 358616 and we can get a form to you, or come to the AGM and join on the night.”
