Cellar flooded
ABOUT five inches of water had to be pumped from the cellar of a Steyning house on Saturday.
Storrington firefighters were called to the property, in Horsham Road, at 10.12am.
The crew reported the flooding was weather related, following a heavy hail storm.
West Sussex Fire and Rescue used two electric pumps to clear the water from the cellar.
The crew then helped the home owners with the salvage operation, remaining at the house until 12.38pm.
