Catsfield cyclist in critical condition after collision

A 52 year old cyclist from Catsfield suffered a life-threatening head injury when he was in collision with another of a group of four riders in Catsfield on Sunday evening (March 1).

He was in a group of four men who were cycling in Skinners Lane shortly before 8pm when two of them collided and fell from their bikes.

One, a 43-year-old man from Catsfield, suffered a minor head injury, while the other, a 52-year-old man also from Catsfield, sustained serious injuries, including a fractured pelvis and spine and internal injuries, along with the life-threatening head injury.

He was airlifted to St George’s Hospital in London where he remained in a critical condition on Monday.
