The photography competition will be judged by world renowned photographer Rankin and Oliver McNeil from Legend Photography, the children’s short stories and poetry category will be judged by one of Britain’s favourite children’s poets Brian Moses and the adult category by Hospice Celebrity Ambassador, actor and thespian Mark Benton.

The competition seeks to celebrate those magical moments which are often lost or become distant memories.

The suggested theme for the children’s poetry and short story section is ‘The World Around Us’, or you can simply tell a story.

There are age categories: 7 and under, 8 - 11 and 12 - 16.

Categories for the photo competition are Love and Care and The World Around us.

Rankin said: “Photography has the power to captivate people, communities and nations. It captures moments in time like no other medium and is used by charities across the UK to bring their cause to life and resonate with the general public.

“I am proud to be a judge for St Michael’s Hospice Capture the Moment photographic competition.
