It’s no secret that the award winning Bay spice restaurant on Hastings sea-front offers an excellent choice of culinary delights fused with Asian spices for all palates.
But what’s less well known is the amount of superb work that Babu and his team do for charity both here in Hastings and further afield. All the staff at Bay Spice have been observing Ramadan with long daylight hours of fasting and the money saved from their normal food and drink intake will be donated to victims of the Nepalese earthquake tragedy.
Closer to home Bay Spice have, last Wednesday, hosted a special Curry Night in support of Charity for Kids to raise supporting funds for a big fundraising trip to climb Mount Kilimanjaro. Approximately 100 diners and supporters of the charity enjoyed a special menu. And in early September Helenswood Academy will be the beneficiaries of another fund-raising dinner at Bay Spice.
Important to Babu and his team is feedback on both the quality of the food and the service provided. Bay Spice have won several awards recently including last year in 2014, a Food Hygiene 5 Star rating.
They take great pride in the fact that they’ve been recommended for cleanliness, being naturally important to a restaurant with every member of the team playing their part especially in the kitchen.
Of course, you can check out Bay Spice on their own website www.bayspice.co.uk or equally, you’ll find all you need to know about this jewel in Hastings culinary crown on www.thebestof.co.uk/hastings -
