A BUS company which runs a route from Hastings to Battle is believed to have gone into administration affecting schoolchildren in the area.
East Sussex County Council received information yesterday (Monday) that Uckfield-based business Countryliner Sussex Ltd had gone into administration.
A number of public and school bus services in the county were expected to be affected today.
This includes the number 304/305 service from Hastings to Hawkhurst via Battle.
This would affect any pupils attending Claverham Community College from the Hastings and St Leonards area.
County council spokesperson, Kathryn Langley, said: “We are sorry for the disruption this will cause.
“The County Council has taken action to ensure that at a minimum those services that provide journeys to and from school operate on Tuesday 9 October in the morning and afternoon.
“This will mean children should be able get to and from school as normal but expect delays. It is likely there will be disruption to bus services throughout the day.”
No one was available to comment from Countryliner this morning.
