Burgess Hill couple found dead in home

POLICE are investigating the deaths of an elderly Burgess Hill couple whose bodies were discovered in their home at Leylands Road on Sunday afternoon.

Drusilla Paisley, believed to be in her 70s, was found with head injuries while her husband, Reginald, in his 80s, was found hanging nearby.

Detectives are not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths. The bodies were discovered by a close family member and neighbours said they had not seen the couple, who were described as keen gardeners, for several days.

Police said they were treating the deaths as unexplained and no-one else was being sought. A post mortem would be held.
