National activities manager of BUPA Care Homes, Tim Brooke, said: "The majority of our residents are unable to go abroad so we thought it would be a good idea to create a holiday atmosphere within the homes.
"By giving our residents the opportunity to experience the cultures of different Mediterranean destinations, we hope to engage them and their families in an enjoyable and stimulating summer activity."
