THERE was a great turnout for a quiz day which raised hundreds of pounds for two community groups.
The Crafters Social Club held the event and more than 100 pitted their wits against each other, including Mayor Kim Forward and deputy mayor Alan Roberts.
The weekly club, which runs arts and crafts activities for elderly and disabled people and children, raised £331, part going to the Hollington Scouts whose hall the club uses.
Rosemary Andrews, chairman of the Crafters group, said: “It was a brilliant day. We were amazed so many came and there was a lovely atmosphere. People were asking me when we are going to do it again.”
The group meets every Tuesday afternoon at the Scout hut in Oxford Road, St Leonards.
