The local branch of Outset Youth Action offers young people, between the ages of 13 and 25, the chance to support the communities they live in through a range of volunteering roles.

Now, the group is recruiting to bolster its own group of volunteers serving as charity trustees and committee members.

Outset gives opportunities for those who are not in education, employment or training to broaden their prospects through voluntary work.

Currently it assists more than 1,200 young people across West Sussex.

The charity is looking for people with a range of skills and experiences to join its organisation and help it grow in the coming months and years.

Expertise in funding, finance and publicity would be of particular use.

Trustees and committee members need to have a passion for supporting young people’s development through volunteering.

Previous experience of working alongside young people, in whatever capacity, would be desirable but is not essential.

The team of receptionists must be able to work corroboratively with other colleagues and be able to provide a service that is based on the sensitivity and respect for our members, as well as maintaining confidentiality about members and their contact with 4SIGHT.

The role will involve general office duties, from dealing with the post to filing, photocopying, taking telephone calls and taking appointment bookings.

Full training will be provided, as well as a comprehensive induction session.
