Raymond Quinnell: I am so sorry to have to tell you that another dear soul has slipped away. Raymond Quinnell will be so missed by his family and friends, please include them in your prayers. The Funeral of Jeremy Forty will take place at St Mary’s Udimore on Friday 4 November at 1pm. The Funeral of June Boorman is also in St Mary’s on Friday 15 November. Please may I ask you to mention them all in your prayers.

Autumn: Sunset’s glow lighting up the Autumn trees, making them amber, gold red and green. A pallet of magnificent hues builds a frieze, of a stunning picturesque scene, that sways along in the Autumnal breeze.

We were in Warwickshire last week and Autumn there is more forward than here and the trees were absolutely stunning in the evening sunshine. I love this time of year.

Friday 28 October: Pilates with Laura at 9.15am Brede Farmers Market in Brede Village Hall from 10am – 12noon where the stall holders will be pleased to show of their produce and products for you to view. A good place to while away your time over a cup of coffee with friends.

Brede Short Mat Bowlers will be in Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm. They would be pleased to have new members, just turn up wearing flat shoes. If you would like more information please contact Graham on 01424 427159

The Reverend Peggy Heim will lead this mornings service at the Methodist Church in Broad Oak at 10.30am. Peggy is also the Pastoral Minister and can be contacted on 01424 422350.

The Brede & Udimore Overseas Group are holding an English Tea Party with cakes scones meringues and jellies at Chitcombe Oast. Please put the date in your diary and contact either Liz Turgoose 01424 882657 or Judy Edwards 01424 882222 to book up for this afternoon of fun and food.

Monday 31 October: Yoga at 9.30am, in Udimore Community Hall. The whist players will be in action in Brede Village Hall at 7.30pm. The Village Hall needs occupying and is empty during the day, to hire it please phone Carol Kynvin 01424 882123 The Guiding section meet in the small hall of Brede Village Hall; the Rainbows meet from 4.15- 5.15pm, they welcome girls aged between 5-7 years, Julie Piper can be contacted for both on 01424 883464 or mobile 07863599537. The Brede Scout sections are all held in the Scout Hut Stubbs Lane, Beavers welcome Boys and girls from 6 years old they meet from 5.15pm to 6.15pm. Saturday 26 November Quiz Night at Brede Village Hall if you wish to have a table for 8, please contact me as soon as possible as we have Ten teams already. We shall have a Fish and Chip supper and the cost is £9 per person. All proceeds are for the upkeep of Brede Village Hall.
