BREAKING NEWS: Robbery at Worthing off licence

CASH and a mobile phone was stolen during a robbery at a Worthing off licence.

The robbery took place at around 8.50pm yesterday (Thursday, November 26), when a man walked into the Thresher's store in Rowlands Road and demanded money from a shopworker.

He then stole a mobile phone and cash from the till before making off east down Rowlands Road.

The suspect is described as white, 5ft 6in to 5ft 7in tall, of medium build, wearing a blue woollen hat, blue Macintosh, light blue jeans, blue gloves and a white scarf over his face.

DS Chris Leech said: "We would like to hear from anyone who may have been in the area at the time of the robbery and seen any vehicles parked nearby, or from anyone who can identify the offender."
